Written piece
Beautiful Creations

About this piece
This poem is a thought that came to me while I was working out in the field and I saw how degraded our environment and surroundings are. Since I know someday I will be part of the environment, not as a living soul but as an entity to enrich it, we ought to do better.
Beautiful Creations
The strive to show the best,
Being part of existence,
Alone, I may be in shambles,
Collectively, we could almost see
The future, brightly blinding,
Knowing that my brothers’ kids,
With glowing faces, will smile,
And their children wonder,
At the beautiful creations,
Knowing not it started today,
With me and they.
And if this dart hits the bullseye,
Our intentions clear,
Believing in that,
From the dirt,
A flower to be gazed at
Will rise,
My sister’s kids will know,
This is growth,
Arising from my intentions.
Green and yellow, my nature,
My sky is blue,
Brown they are,
My remains and those of my ancestors,
I will plant these seeds,
Knowing we will live on,
In these beautiful trees and flowers,
Our collective, beautiful intentions
Will flourish,
