March Of Time To War
Pijush Kanti Barua
In gait and speech, thought and existance amidst the enmity of the Olive-coloured Demons
The unbending time goes on the voyage to reach the xenith of the Himalayas with a view to obtaining freedom.
On the way to the march, the afternoon, the girl's feet-bell, simple village, busy gonj became it's companions along with
The farmer with plough in hand, the fisherman with the fishing net and the mind of the blacksmith who was at work with the bellows.
After finishing the walking distance came hurriedly the river, the blue lake, the pond teeming with fish
Also heat of the sun, beam of the moon, meditating night, sonorous dawn, pollens of abloomed flower.
In search of salvation, in the brave march of time, came the green grass, sigh of soil
The Bhatiali folk songs of the boatman, the Bhawaiya of a cartman and the tiredness of a cowboy in the unmindful afternoon.
The atoms formed a molecule, the cluster of molecules turned the pieces into a whole one.
The tide of public sentiment winds the sail of time, far appears nearer, nearer becomes closer more
Field becomes sea, sea becomes red, waves become strong and stout, the hummings become growls and echoes the horizon
And then! Breaking the chain the war-capable time reaches the index finger of the Himalayas
The time in chain breaking the lock of enmity declares it's speech of freedom in the grand sound of birth-cry :
'No more you can keep us oppressed.'
