Come, let’s fly
Unaided, high above
Smooth, steadfast—like a kite;
Propelled by the juice
Of unbridled enlightenment.
The blue canopy
Where borders blur
Of religion, colour or creed;
Or that of
Whim, ego or wealth—
Useless human burdens!
56 or 156, does it matter?
Another futile border.
Let’s focus
From high up
On the deprived child
Of war, famine or quake;
On the moronic war mongers
That end up having little
Sitting on piles of debris—
Akin to the economic vultures
That fail to share.
More the kites
Better the earth.
A day of radiant sky
Would see the war—
Physical or economic—
A distant nightmare.
